The mission of the Children’s Healing Center of Southeast Michigan is to provide social and emotional healing for kids ages 0-26 with weak immune systems and their families in a safe and clean environment.
Through research-based play and programming, the Children’s Healing Center of Southeast Michigan will provide life-changing support for the whole family, who are often forced into isolation to protect the health of their vulnerable child. Social and emotional connections will be built through new friendships and barriers of isolation are broken down through the healing power of Good. Clean. Fun.®
Pioneering the way, the first-of-its-kind nationwide, the Children’s Healing Center of West Michigan opened its doors in 2015 and has proudly served over 1400 members. We are excited to be expanding this successful model and plan to bring the FUN from West Michigan to Southeast Michigan. Our team is hard at work raising funds and laying the groundwork for this exciting expansion.
Be sure to check out our Children’s Healing Center of West Michigan website to learn more about all of the fun programs offered for kids, teens and families!
The Center offers a safe and open environment for siblings and parents to connect and share with others. We understand the trauma families experience from a medical diagnosis, and we recognize the importance of breaking down the barriers of isolation that often form when coping with serious illnesses.
We take measures to make the Children’s Healing Center is as germ-free as possible. Before each use, the Center is thoroughly cleaned and all visitors are screened for colds and infections to prevent exposure to germs.
Through research-based play focused on learning, art, fitness and social interaction, the Center provides a refuge of fun. We encourage active play that gets sick kids off the couch through hands-on learning, games and movement.
