Mikayla Oppermann

As a program intern, Mikayla Oppermann, works alongside Deb Winn in planning the weekly schedule, crafts, and themes. Mikayla guides the Tots through their daily activities in an active, healthy, and fun environment.

Mikayla is a senior at Aquinas College pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Child Life Speciality and a minor in Biology. Mikayla also plays Ice Hockey for Aquinas. After graduating from Aquinas in May 2022, Mikayla is looking forward to completing her Child Life certification and working in a hospital where she can help support children through their medical journeys.

Mikayla has a passion for psychology and biology and loves the opportunity she has at the Children’s Healing Center to use both her passions to help children through their traumatic times.

Mikayla is from Charlevoix, Michigan and worked for the Villager Pub and Back Lot. She enjoys playing with her dogs, biking, skateboarding, hiking, swimming, and being around friends and family. Mikayla will be coaching a 10U girls hockey team this fall and is very passionate about hockey and hopes to continue coaching and teaching young girls how to play.
