As Executive Director of the Centers future second site, Lorrie is leading the community effort to launch our newest location, including cultivating donor relationships and hospital partnerships.
Lorrie holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Child Development and Qualitative Research. She began her career as an Early Childhood educator and then made the move to the Museum Field where she spent many years as an educator and researcher/ evaluator.
Most recently she was Chief Learning Officer at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum where she worked at the intersection of Development and Education, managing major museum partnerships, writing grants, and overseeing the vision and direction of the education programs.
Lorrie is thrilled to bring her experience to the new adventure of opening and leading the next site for the Children’s Healing Center.
Lorrie and her husband Jeff moved to Michigan from Illinois in 2015. They have raised three children who, like them, love the outdoors and adventure.
