Join us as we unfold small moments – and big ones – that reveal our true recipe for success: community
As Membership & Outreach Coordinator, Mary spends her days building relationships with community and healthcare referral partners, connecting with qualifying families to help them experience the benefits of Center services, planning and executing programs, and overseeing all things member related in Southeast Michigan.
Mary graduated from Alma College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary & Early Childhood education. She completed her child life practicum at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and her internship, as well as fellowship, at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital before becoming a certified child life specialist.
Throughout 6 years at Mott, Mary gained a wide range of work experience and understanding of patient care in the surgery, emergency, outpatient clinics, and newborn intensive care units. In 2022, she gained another opportunity to bring child life outside the hospital setting and provide virtual child life services for families around the country with Breakthrough Coaching Center.
When Mary learned about the new Southeastern Michigan location of Children’s Healing Center, she was immediately drawn to the organization’s mission and team collaboration. She’s honored to be a part of member relations, community outreach, and programming.
Mary enjoys a good cup of coffee, spending time “up north” with family and friends, and following Michigan Football. On Friday nights in the Fall, you can find her cheering on her husband as he coaches the Northville High School football team.
